@ saveTehcheese FF IX was by far my favourite main game and I would say they shoulda stopped after X the others sucked, hopefully this will change my mind but if not atleast Mistwalker should have a new game out by then if not.

Just a bunch of hair-style obsessed fags with stupid costumes jumping around in super-scripted combat vs monsters with dumb names in a city with a dumb name. Reminiscent of all FF games.

I notice that some of you are saying that FF should have stoped at X. FFXI and FFXII were not made by the same team that made FFX. FFXI was an experiment with MMOs and FFXII was an experiment with new game play, even if it sucked, I don't blame them for trying. FFXII also lost it's lead designer half-way through development, so of course they sucked. FFXIII is being made by the same team that made FFX, so in more ways than one, this IS the next FF.

First of all, the Health bars on the bottom right aren't in kanji. It's katakana. And by reading it, you can tell it's NOT for the enemies. In pic 7, the top one says Snow. In pic 8, the top one is Lightning and the middle one is Snow. In pic 9, the top one is Lightning. So enemy health bars will be above their heads only.

Has any one here played final fantasy XII. It's similar to the battle style of this one, however I like the fact that you can chain together attacks, what I do wonder about is. Does the gambit system work for your team mates, if not how does it work?
Not to mention it does sound a little FFVII too, but I never got to play that game so I'm really excited about this game... If only I had a PS3... :(

I just thought that it should be known that Kanye West (or someone representing Mr. West) posted the trailer on his blog today.
I hope that he disappears after the release of the game and emerges a month later with scruffy lookin' beard, a 100 lbs heavier, and the smell of mountain dew on his breath.

But probably not.
Can't wait for this game!

*ups and downs*
ups:
-more of a futuristic setting
-guns
-combat looks very promising
-probaly going to be very good if what we hope comes true
-the characters look badass, except for the pigtail girl

downs:
-lead character is a women, can square enix make her equally as cool as past leads?
-could be a confusing story to pick up
-waiting for the damn game to come out

overall im extremely pumped since i love final fantasy and there always-epic stories, and i hope im right when i say this looks like it could be the best final fantasy ever, depending on if sqaure enix doesnt try anything stupid and risky like in FF12

I can't believe i still dont have a PS3!! I know its multiplatform but id raqther get teh ps3 anyway. Im a huge fan of Sony published games so id feel horrible not to get one. Can't wait for this!! looks like a good game to play after ffXII.
