Aside from its sequel, Mushihime-sama may be one of the most difficult games ever created. On its hardest mode, bullets literally fill the entire screen, give or take five or six pixels of safe space. Nevertheless, it is still beatable, which is a testament to the little-known fact that aiming at your enemy is more effective than predictably firing sprays of bullets in repeating patterns. Shh, don't tell every boss of every scrolling shooter ever made!
