Extreme violence and sexy nurses. This is one Pokemon movie that we would probably admit to watching

It's a shame that this trailer is for a Pokemon film that's never going to get released. It's got violence and sex and guns and torture and swears - all the necessary ingredients for a proper film for grown-ups. It'd be the best movie since Piranha 3D. This is Pokemon Apokelypse and it definitely won't be coming to a cinema near you anytime ever:

The short story behind the Pokemon Apokelypse promo is that it's a 'fan-trailer responding to the common trend of 'dark and gritty' reboots of popular franchises'. For the long story, head over to ShogunGamer - they've got a full-on interview with the people behind the project.

If, in a world of unicorns and make-believe, Pokemon Apokelypse actually became a reality, would you pay money to watch it?

If the pokemon didn't look quite so freakish this would have potential.

    They looked like Spore creatures

In my mind this is how i've always seen Pokemon I mean you go around capturing animals some on the verge of extinction and force then to fight. With Japanese developers westernizing their games it's a very slight that Pokemon could end this movie.... god I hope it does!!!

Seriously.... that was amazing... just.. I mean wow... I was just floored by Team Rocket (James, Jessie and Meowth) I would go to the midnight showing of that... Kudos to those guys.

I think i might have watched it if it was real

The Pokemon were just plain disturbing. Otherwise, I really liked it and I would definitely want a full movie. The cheesy lines from the TV show made it ten times better. "When will this stop?" "WHEN I CATCH THEM ALL!!!!!"

I, in my infinite power, formally declare this to be The Best Thing In Human History.

I thought I would regret watching this. But, no. I'm satisfied with this insanity. It's good insanity.

although some of the pokemon look really crap a few look quite good, i actually thought Jigglypuff in the strip club and Squirtle looked great. loved James getting a pedicure

  • abbottfrizzell - September 22, 2010 9:33 p.m.

was that mewtwo making someone kill themselves? ....awesome!!
  • Larinah - September 22, 2010 9:26 p.m.

I'd pay to see this. And I actually disagree with TheBoz. I think if a good filmmaker was to team up with Gamefreak, you could target the movie towards teens and make a killing. I sorta laughed a bit when they did the team rocket line towards the end of it though.
