Eva Green discusses playing a baddie in 300: Rise Of An Empire

In issue 217 of Total Film magazine , Eva Green discusses transforming herself into a formidable warrior queen in 300: Rise Of An Empire .

Inside the issue - which is available for just £1.99 on your iPad - Green reveals that she loved playing badass Artemisia because it didn't require her to reform to the typical girlfriend movie role.

"She's so ballsy," she says. "She's not a girlfriend or a love interest; she's got guts, she's fuelled by revenge.

"She's a very complex character, very exciting. It's always been a fantasy for me to play an action hero. She's a baddie, but she's a cool baddie; she's human to an extent."

300: Rise Of An Empire is in UK cinemas now.
