Entire Rock Band 3 set list "leaked" intentionally by the developer

You may have caught the news yesterday that some of the Rock Band 3 setlist was leaked by an internet video that focused on a person, but showed one of the game’s designers scrolling through the setlist in the background. Today, the folks at developer Harmonix have told the internet just what they think of such shady practices and issued a stern rebuke. Of course, by “rebuke” we mean “counter-leak the entire set list,” all 83 songs of it, in their own video. It’s below, but here’s the setlist for ya.

Above: This is the gospel truth, people. Accept no substitutes

The Cure? Check. The Police? In there. And now that we know the starter setlists for both Rock Band 3 and Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, let the battle for supremacy begin! We already know who has the better sense of humor (Let’s see: The crew who pulled this stunt versus the company that cancelled Brutal Legend, then sued EA for picking it up. Tough call). Who’s setlist appeals the most to you?

We’re not taking sides just yet, but … you know … Freebird. Just sayin’. Oh, and click here to hear a recent interview we did with the Harmonix boys above very recently.

It's so so theyve got some amazing songs like the doors break on through and wars low rider but it doesnt stand out as much as the last rock band games and guitar hero games

so far im loving Warriors of rock setlist better, this one has too many that have been done by guitar hero already. i do hate the whole warrior mode concept though :/

Pretty rockin' list, but it still upsets me that both RB3 and GHWOR get Rammstein songs (good band, but not exactly mainstream: they sing in German, for chrissakes), yet there isn't a single Lordi song in any GH or RB game. Finnish rock FTW!!!

The only track that seems dumb is that from Amy Winehouse. She looks like a tranny. A hot tranny.

You know what should be at least DLC? Bombs Over Baghdad by Outkast. It would be perfect for almost every instrument (although the guitar player would get pretty bored.)
  • Claymore17 - August 23, 2010 4:02 a.m.

    proper hardcore

Du... Du hast... Du hast mich...
  • InFeRnOg - August 23, 2010 1 a.m.

Personally I think this is one of the worst setlists of any of the music games so far. They are adding keyboard but there is no melodic deathmetal, so no opportunities for epic keyboard solos. Utter failure.
  • evanfiend - August 22, 2010 6:38 p.m.

The Smiths The Cure Echo and The Bunnymen HIM nice inclusion of Goth-leaned songs in there. Absolutely love The Cure so I'm hoping for expansion track packs for that! And HIM of course... Echo and the Bunnymen are lost Goth Rock legends, glad to see them on here! Great new setlist, definitely a buy.

Rock Lobster. I think we know who wins. No Rush, though. Very disappointing. Glad to see Queen, however overplayed Bohemian Rhapsody may be xD
