The Elder Scrolls Online is now accepting beta registrations on its website, and Bethesda has released a substantial CGI trailer to celebrate the occasion. Timing and other details for playtests will be revealed later, though a closed beta can't be too far off since developer Zenimax Online still plans to release the MMORPG in 2013.
Though very cool, the trailer unfortunately suffers from late-stage CGItis--after six minutes of watching a Nord, Altmer, and Breton each siege a fortress in their own special way we know nothing more about how the game will actually play. To get a better feel for what it's like to tread the latest rendition of Tamriel, you can check out a developer video from November.
