There's a lot of new stuff coming to Dying Light fans in February, courtesy of DLC/expansion The Following. But things aren't all dune buggies and new maps - there's a mystery to uncover in the wilderness beyond Harran, and it's up to you to figure it out and escape the quarantine zone. Easier said than done of course, but a new trailer suggests there are survivors learning to control the zombie plague.
Mention of people immune to the outbreak and domesticated undead are intriguing enough, but I'm most compelled by the choice of quote at the beginning of the teaser: "I have love in me the likes of which you can scarcely imagine and rage the likes of which you would not believe. If I cannot satisfy the one, I will indulge the other."
An ominous phrase to be sure, but what you might not know if you haven't seen the 1994 film adaptation of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is that it's the infamous doctor's monster that says it. It's one of the first signs that the creature is not a mindless abomination, but a stitched-together collection of souls, thoughts, and morality. His hideous visage hides profoundness.
Maybe The Following will likewise hold a startling surprise. We'll find out on February 9.

Oh, that's why the Stellar Blade devs were terrified by demo players: one fan's spent "about 60 hours" maxing Eve's skill tree before the action RPG is even out
