It's easy to view Jam as a cheap knock-off of the main series, but in reality, it's a totally different style of game. You can still upgrade your customizable skater, prune the licensed soundtrack of songs you love or hate and bust any trick the console boys can, but in a downhill, portable setting. We'd rather play this than the past two or three Tony games on PS2 and Xbox - Downhill Jam makes Tony Hawk seem fresh and exciting again.
