DS News | The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Back in March, Nintendo announced The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for the DS. The touch-screen adventure would be a continuation of The Wind Waker's cutesy, animated style and ship in the fourth quarter of this year. Nintendo's own press site still claims this is the case. However, searching for the game on pretty much any retailer's website shows a 2007 release is in the cards. EB Games claims March, Best Buy says January 31... no one knows. It makes sense, however, to not spit ... » Read More

DS News | The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
We've unearthed some new shots of The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (check out the Images tab for more), which will continue the story and cartoon visual style of 2003's Wind Waker when it is released for DS next year. It's still Zelda as you know it - townsfolk to talk to, grass to cut, dungeons to explore - but using the DS stylus for all actions, issuing directions for Link rather than direct control. Hungry for more? Hit up our earlier ... » Read More

DS News | The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Wednesday 26 July 2006 Nintendo has recently released its 2006 DS line-up for the US and, while it is an undeniably exciting list, there is one game that's conspicuously absent - The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. The beautiful looking adventure is a continuation of the Wind Waker story which finds Link lost and alone at sea, and promises innovative control of the elf with the stylus and touch-screen. Phantom Hourglass was playable at this year's E3 and was down for a winter 2006 release ... » Read More

DS News | The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Were you one of those people that really had to struggle with the Saturday morning graphics of 2003's Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker? Well, get over it, because the 'toon style is coming back - and this time, you're only going to be using the DS' stylus to save the day. Phantom Hourglass seemingly ignores every button on the handheld, forcing you to guide Link through the land of Hyrule by pointing and sliding the stylus across the touch screen. A glowing fairy serves as a sort of reference ... » Read More

DS News | The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Most of us expected to see a brief Revolution trailer or two at the Game Developers Conference today. Well, there was no such thing. What we got instead is a brand new Zelda adventure for DS. In fact, it's well into development and aimed to come home this fall. The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass carries the cartoony, exaggerated design of 2003's GameCube offering, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, but appears to use a slightly angled point of view during gameplay. Also, love it or ... » Read More
