In celebration of our favourite blue-rinsed mammal's 15th birthday, Sega has announced that Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis will spin out on GBA this November

The handheld version of the first ever Sonic game features the ability to save your game - for time-pressed gamers - and more importantly your high scores.

For anyone who's unfortunate enough to have never seen the original Sonic the Hedgehog, take a look at the deliciously bright, old-school, pixel-perfect GBA version below.

Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis is out in November and we reckon it'll more than stand the test of time.
