DS - Wacky Races: Crash & Dash - Wacky Races: Crash & Dash

Wacky Races Crash & Dash is an odd duck. It’s been almost 40 years since a new episode of the cartoon, but it’s still apparently viable to be made into a video game. It’s also strange that while the game is obviously designed for young children, the show it’s based on is likely older than their parents. Much like the show, Wacky Races Crash & Dash is about racing, but just barely. A strange hybrid of party ...

As the game based off the newest "best movie ever," Wall-E has no real need to be good - kids are going to eat this up no matter what. And if they're lucky, their love of that admittedly fantastic film will overcome the fact that the game itself - a super-kiddie sort of "get from point A to point B" puzzle game - is a rusty bucket of broken-down ideas bolted together.

You work your way through a level by throwing boxes at switches, ...

Dec 17, 2007 If you're looking to pamper a pixellated puppy or perform a simulated surgery the Nintendo DS has got your back. However, if turn-based tactical gaming is your thing, you'll be hard-pressed to find many choices on the dual-screen, touch-friendly platform; hell, it's been over two years since Advance Wars: Dual Strike satisfied are strategic cravings.Thankfully,THQ delivers some cerebrally satisfying gaming to the DS with Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command, a strategy title set in the ...

DS Review
There are seven costumes our cackling hero wears in this curious, stylus-controlled, spiritual successor to the Wario Land series, and being the thief he is, has stolen all the costumes. Its impossible to hate Wario as a villain, largely thanks to his starring roles in a host of top-notch adventures. A Wario platformer tends to be an excuse for Nintendos developers to really poke fun at one of their characters while experimenting with the kind of off-the-wall gameplay they wouldnt dare inflict ...

Winning Eleven is a riotous success on PSP, but how does the classy soccer sim translate to the humble DS? First impressions are positive; look past the basic graphics and you can definitely tell this comes from the Konami soccer stable, as passing is decent, one-twos are deadly and this retains the essential feel of the PS2 ...

DS - The World Ends With You - The World Ends With You

We can’t remember the last time a game was cooler than us. Sure, we’d shift our hat facing backwards when scrubbing our Corgis in Nintendogs, and hell, even smoke when catching them all in Pokemon. But Square Enix’s latest title not ending in “Hearts” or “Fantasy” literally drips style. The World Ends With You mixes graffiti-infused J-pop with Japanese youth culture in an alternate reality Shibuya, ...

When we heard Worms was heading to an online-enabled handheld, naturally our first thought was, "Oh cool, you'll be able to play people on the Wi-Fi network." But for whatever reason, the turn-based, surreal invertebrate war is limited to your portable's wireless range. Online omission aside, Worms: Open Warfare is the same game you've been playing for years. Up to four people pick their mouthy, racial-stereotyped army of worms and start lobbing grenades, tossing dynamite or upper-cutting ...

DS Review
Do you have the skill it takes to use old-school bazookas and grenades, or are you more of a jet-packing, air-striking, tech-loving modern wormer? No matter how you play it, we reckon Worms is one of the greatest ever multiplayer games. Open Warfare 2 is perhaps the most comprehensive version to date. Forget the previous, disappointing, Open Warfare. This one is built on the foundations of Worms Armageddon, which was previously the best of the series, and is consequently rock solid and ...

DS Review
Nov 13, 2007 Now this is weird: an all-stylus, all-prodding, twirling and waggling take on the sport of champions. Like letting Hornswaggle win the Cruiserweight championship, DS SmackDown's an interesting idea - but one that loses its appeal pretty ...
