Ratatouille

Blow off this version

We did think the cooking portion of Ratatouille was well designed to a point. Cut potatoes by “sawing” the screen or chop onions by tapping. You’ll also need to watch your dishes by adding ingredients and stirring, while keeping an eye on their temperature. Too hot and the pot gets ruined. How do you cool ‘em off? By utilizing the worst feature the DS offers - blowing into the mic. When multiple pots start boiling over, you’ll wonder why you haven’t already turned blue and lost consciousness.

Ratatouille offers some multiplayer modes around cooking, but if you’re looking to get dizzy with a friend, we suggest doing something fun, like blowing up balloons. And then you can throw a party… and celebrate not playing Ratatouille on the DS.

You'll love
  • Cooking mode is pretty good
  • Animated loading screens
  • The console versions
You'll hate
  • Overly simplistic gameplay
  • Blowing into mic
  • French rat speaking English? How?
