QuickSpot

New puzzle game for DS

Test your "Brain Activity" with QuickSpot and find out if DS players really are smarter

American publisher and developer, Namco Bandai, announced today that its new brain-teasing game, QuickSpot, will be available for the Nintendo DS sometime this Spring. QuickSpot is a game that will require concentration and perception as the player will be required to quickly find the differences between two seemingly identical pictures.

QuickSpot is based on other popular picture comparison games, which you may remember from your Sunday paper, the arcade at your local dive bar or even your childhood. Makoto Iwai, Executive Vice President and COO at Namco Bandai said, "Everyone remembers playing this game as a kid, and now it's re-imagined as a simple and addictive video game that anyone can play."

So far, they we have uncovered that there will be three major single-player modes, the main mode being Rapid Play, which has five levels with ten picture pairs to compare and some kind of super-similar boss at the end.

After completing a stage the player will be awarded points based on their "Brain Activity," which will be based on Intuition, Concentration, Recognition, Stability, and Judgment.

QuickSpot will also contain three multiplayer modes including Time Bomb, which involves passing around one DS, Scramble Mode and Download Play, in which players will compete against each other on multiple systems. If your friend gets a higher score than you in another puzzle game' it's only a game. If his "Brain Activity" is higher, well, you may never hear the end of it.
