DS - Professor Layton and the Curious Village - Professor Layton and the curious launch party If you're nearby New York City and have Layton fever set aside some time on February 10th (i.e. this Sunday). Nintendo is throwing an event to celebrate the release of Professor Layton and the Curious Village and the debut of the Cobalt/Black DS Lite at the Nintendo World Store. From 1-3PM event goers can purchase Layton a day early and compete in live puzzle challenges to win prizes. One of them will be a Cobalt/Black DS Lite, which will also be sold a day early just in case you don't win it.

DS - Professor Layton and the Curious Village - New info on DS Professor Layton and his Curious Village Nintendo confirmed today - among other things - that its upcoming DS game Professor Layton and the Curious Village will feature the downloadable puzzle service already available for Japanese gamers.

Following its February release in the US, for every week for the first six months, a new puzzle will be available via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. These puzzles will be on top of the 130 already included in the game.

DS - Professor Layton and the Curious Village - Professor Layton prepares to puzzle on Nintendo DS in North America Andrew Macarthy of Nintendic reports North American audiences are about to receive Level-5's "Professor Layton and the Curious Village". Set in the village of St. Mystere, players step into the inquisitive boots of Layton as he attempts to track down an elusive treasure hidden somewhere in the village. Many puzzles are new to the North American version of the game, and new puzzles will be available to download via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

Nintendo's official website notes the release date is February 18, while the latest press release differs with a February 10 launch date.

DS - Professor Layton and the Curious Village - Download DS games on Wii Nintendo set to offer full DS games for download via Wii

US Nintendo DS owners will soon be able to download DS games through their Wii, Nintendo US boss Reggie Fils-Amie has told the New York Times.

The service will offer both complete games and demos, which will be directly downloaded to Wii via broadband, then wirelessly transmitted to DS.

Professor Layton and Pandora's Box, the sequel to Professor Layton and the Curious Village set for release later this year in the US.
