DS Preview | Guitar Hero: On Tour
DS - Guitar Hero: On Tour - Guitar Hero: On Tour

This must rank fairly high on the list of Things That Shouldn’t Work (But Do). A DS version of a game that’s successful pretty much exclusively because it comes packaged with a massive plastic guitar and makes you feel like a rock god. That’s going to be completely rubbish and depressing on a handheld, isn’t it? Think again.

The DS is no ordinary handheld and Guitar Hero: On Tour is not the cash-in many ...

DS Preview | Gunpey
Let's see how fast we can describe the latest puzzle game to rob our lives of human interaction: connect lines. There, that about does it. Broken fragments slowly scroll from the bottom of the screen, only able to be shifted further up and down the column. All you have to do is make a solid line from left to right and it disappears. Any unfinished lines that make it to the top of the screen do you in, so it's all about zipping the fragments back down as low as they can go on the ...

DS Preview | Harvest Moon DS
Up until now, the primary aim of the Harvest Moon series has been to live the best life possible. Plant seeds, water them daily at the crack of dawn and slowly build your quaint garden into a cash-cow. Then, you literally buy the cow, plus some chickens and even better crops. All this to catch the eye of whichever pretty lady strikes your fancy. With Harvest Moon DS, you have the option of ignoring all that. Now there's a Witch Princess to consider, and to bag her you've got to neglect your ...

DS Preview | Heroes of Mana
Good news, bad news time. Ready? If you're an old school fan of Square's Secret of Mana series (Seiken Densetsu in Japan and officially now World of Mana in the US), you're about to be blessed with not one new Mana game, but two. Considering how few titles in the beloved action-RPG franchise have actually reached our shores, this is obviously exciting. So, what's the other, potentially less good news? Heroes of Mana for Nintendo DS isn't an action-RPG at all... it's a real-time strategy ...

DS Preview | Homie Rollerz
DS - Homie Rollerz - Homie Rollerz - Character Bios Ever since Super Mario Kart made the genre, gamers have been slowly choking on the mammoth amount of mascot kart racing games. Everyone from the Smurfs, Buzz Lightyear and even the Burger King have graced us with driving around in tiny cars. But even with all this history of cheesy go-karts driven by toys, no game has ever starred dolls you can buy in the lobby of Wal-Mart for 25 cents.Breaking that barrier is Homie Rollerz, a game that ...

DS Preview | Homie Rollerz
Dec 17, 2007 First up, we have Homie Rollerz for the DS. This might look like Mario Kart goes to the ghetto, but for fans of Dave Gonzaless original creations, this is an awesome opportunity to play as one of your all-time favorite Homies. Gonzales has even helped out with the development, providing authentic dialogue and an all-new Homie - Wizard - out to grant the wish of the low-rider racer brave enough to win The Wizard Circuit. Look for this colorful little game sometime in February ...

DS Preview | Incredibles Rise of the Underminer
There's no movie sequel to the The Incredibles on its way, but that hasn't stopped THQ from making up their own. You have to battle against him, travelling through the city and the underground maze beneath it. You play as Mr Incredible or Frozone, who each have their unique skills. Mr Incredible uses ...

DS Preview | Indianapolis 500 Legends
Oct 24, 2007 It turns out that from 1961-71 there were no guns, turtle shells or otherwise attached to any racecars in the Indy 500, at least if the historically accurate Wii and DS game Indianapolis 500 Legends is to be trusted. We weren't about to let a sub-standard arsenal keep us from having a good time, so we focused on the one thing Indy 500 is really about: driving a car. The game takes you through ten years of the Indy 500 with historical drivers, cars, track conditions and ...

DS Preview | Infinite Space

Publisher Sega just delivered the first scant details on MadWorld, Infinite Line, an unnamed game, and Bayonetta, the first four projects from new developer Platinum Games Inc. And yes, new games are announced almost every day, but this is special. Why? Because Platinum Games is made up of the men who invented cutting-edge classics like Resident Evil, Okami, Viewtiful Joe, Devil May Cry, and the mech-tacular Steel Battalion. Simply ...

DS Preview | Inuyasha: Secret of the Divine Jewel
In his latest adventure, Inuyasha: Secrets of the Divine Jewel, the title character and his massive sword team up with a new protagonist, a high school girl. Sound familiar? If not, you don't know much about Inuyasha, my friend. He's a half-demon dog-child (peep the ears) that follows around a schoolgirl named Kagome who freed him from imprisonment and has a knack for getting into trouble. He yells her name a lot and they travel around with/get into fights with all sorts of wacky, ...
