Acclaimed game designer Peter Molyneux has expressed a desire to someday remake Bullfrog's classic isometric sci-fi action title Syndicate. I really would love to redo a version of Syndicate. Syndicate was probably one of my favorites, he told Shacknews in a recent interview.
Kotaku reports: The peoples of Populous DS have added an unexpected society to their ranks, the Bit-plane civilization. The EA published seminal god-game includes not only Persians and Martians, but a strange line-up of inhabitants such as a race of skeleton people, dragons and men in bear outfits. Oddest of all are a pixelated race that builds their structures in the shape of Nintendo consoles. This is fanboyism at its finest, folks. What Nintendo fan won't thrill at the possibility of upgrading one's Game & Watch all the way to a Wii? Consider Populous DS bought (if it comes stateside).

God gaming heads to DS in the form of a Populous remake. It's being reported from an EA press conference in Japan that the Bullfrog classic is being remade for DS. CVG even got a picture of a man standing in front of a screen with the word 'Populous' on it and some Japanese writing, so it must be true.
