It's another packed new game release week. There is something to select from for every gaming system. Many PlayStation 3 gamers will find their hours going into Uncharted 2. It has already been rated as one of this year's best games. Double Fine Productions is delivering their Brutal Legend game this week for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 gamers. Both of the games will be available on the crack of October 13th, midnight, from GameStop's Midnight Launch opening event. Wii gamers, you have plenty to keep yourselves busy too. If you haven't picked up Wii Sports Resort yet, now's a great time to with the Limited Edition Wii Sports Resort Bundle. It includes two Wii MotionPlus controllers, instead of the usual one, saving your $10. A Boy and His Blob returns with a charming new art style. SEGA delivers the second Mario and Sonic competitive outing with Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. Also fitting for an October release is JU-ON: The Grudge, which is subtitled "The Haunted House Simulator." Star Wars fans, you have the first officially licensed Wii peripherals out, which include Lightsabers, a Blaster and the Darth Vader Wii Remote Sensor Bar Holder. See what's coming to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC, Nintendo DS and PSP.

411mania talks about this week's game releases. Highlights include Phantom Brave, C.O.R.E, Fossil Fighters, and Madden.

On Phantom Brave, 411mania writes: "We Meet Again is an update to the original Phantom Brave for the PS2. As it was the game that immediately followed Disgaea, it had a lot to live up to when it was first released back in 2004. Though the SRPG contained many similarities to its predecessor, many fans felt that it strayed a little too much from what made Disgaea a hit. Detractors cite the more serious story as well as the various gameplay changes as their main complaints. However, those who actually gave the game a chance found a lot of the changes to their liking. The absence of the grid system, for example, allowed for more freedom when positioning characters. In addition, the Confine system, whereby the souls of the playable characters must be "confined" to objects on the field in order to take physical form, forced players to put more thought into when and where to use each character. It's not an exact clone of Disgaea, but in this case, that isn't such a bad thing."

AND YET. We still get sent screenshots that look like someone deliberately picked them to make the game look bad.
