Now, about five months later, we have an official confirmation that Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume is coming and a teaser site to poke at. But, there isn't anything to see aside from the March 17, 2009 release date for North America.

What can we expect from Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume? An isometric strategy RPG and a main character who wants revenge. After Wylfred's father was taken as an Einherjar by Lenneth he loathed her. Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume also has a familiar combat system where four different characters are mapped to different buttons.

If you haven't been keeping up with our other Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume coverage this trailer should give you a good idea about the combat system. Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume just came out in Japan on November 1 and it's getting a reasonable turn around time with only five months between regions.
DS news12/11/2008Hello, Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume (Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume)http://www.n4g.com/nintendods/News-198359.aspx
Siliconera: "Remember when we discovered Square Enix trademarked Covenant of the Plume? They just used it. The official soundtrack for Valkyrie Profile DS goes on sale on November 11 and the cover art says Valkyrie Profile - Covenant of the Plume - official soundtrack in plain English. Oh, but in the Japanese text says Valkyrie Profile: Togo wo Seoumono Original Soundtrack or, as translated by Tri-Ace, Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One Original Soundtrack. This is unusual since Square Enix keeps the name for the official soundtracks simple. "Insert game title here" original soundtrack simple. This soundtrack CD doesn't have the Japanese subtitle anywhere on it."
DS news13/09/2008Viewtiful Joe DS: New screens (Viewtiful Joe)http://www.gamesradar.com/ds/viewtiful-joe/news/viewtiful-joe-ds-new-screens/a-2006022311015390021/g-2005120714175214111328It's one of the most visually stunning console games around and, as these new screens show, Viewtiful Joe's unique comic strip look has been transferred to Nintendo DS without losing any of its impact.
