Leading video games publisher and developer Namco Bandai Games America Inc., announced today that Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 3 has been shipped to North American retailers for Nintendo DS. Based on the popular virtual pets, help run over a dozen shops with adorable Tamagotchi pals. The Nintendo DS' intuitive touch screen controls add a level of immersion the franchise has never seen.

"Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 3 is a great way to teach the responsibility of running a business in a way that everyone can enjoy," said Todd Thorson, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Namco Bandai Games America. "Its fun mini-games, distinct art style and atmosphere will bring a smile to anyone's face."

Third installment in Tamagotchi Connection series setting up new outlets this summer for the Nintendo DS.

It's been said there's nothing more satisfying than a job well done, and many games have used this motto as the basis to mix work with pleasure. Continuing its pursuit to blur those lines, Namco Bandai announced today the third installment in its light-hearted store management sim Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop series will arrive for the Nintendo DS this summer.

It's no surprise to see Nintendo rules the list, with the nine of the top ten, although how Namco Bandai's Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop managed to sell over a million copies is beyond us.

After announcing Project Rygar and showing a demo of Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, Tecmo felt it necessary to further egg on the world by mentioning, in an almost passing sort of way, that Tecmo Bowl is coming back in 2008. Oh how I miss the days of sweet smelling 8 -bit football in the morning. I miss Bo Jackson hitting the sideline, Iron Head Heyward running through 6 men at a time , the days of Warren Moon's 100 yard passes to Drew Hill or Haywood Jefferies, and this great Quarterback by the name of "Eagles". I may have never seen him play a true NFL game but in the Ole Days of Tecmo bowl On Nintendo he quite possibly was the man people would look for on each and every Sunday Morning when the ABC's, CBS's, and NBC's would grace our lives with Beautiful NFL Bliss. Will we ever see those days again, mmmhhhhh, Oh Yes my friend we most definitely will. That is ofcoarse without the NFL endorsement but worry not good scholar Tecmo Bowl is back and better than ever on the Nintendo DS.

MTV Multiplayer writes: "Yesterday's announcement of the return of "Tecmo Super Bowl" in the form of "Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff" for the DS was a long time coming. And it sparked several questions that a Tecmo spokesperson answered for me overnight.

First of all, I'm told that this game isn't a new 3D re-invention. It's a classic 2D game.

I've also learned that the game won't include any NFL teams or players, due to EA having the licenses locked up. It won't include retired players either, and that includes "Tecmo Super Bowl" icon Bo Jackson.

The teams in the new DS game will be aligned with the cities from the original "Tecmo Bowl," with a few added to bring the team count to 32. "Although the team names are not NFL, we picked names that fit with the original spirit of 'Tecmo Bowl,'" the company rep told me. Customization features will let players change the team names."

What's the point in coming up with some meaningless name for an invading race of alien beings? If a load of blobs resembling angry brains came floating down from outer space and started using ray-guns and mind-control on everyone on your street, the last thing you'd be thinking about is naming them. 'Thingys' works fine when your main concern is sending them back from where they came.

Ignition Entertainment announced today it will publish what could very well be one of the longest-named Nintendo DS games ever to release: Teenage Zombies: Invasion of the Alien Brain Thingys!

Teenage Zombies uses a style that focuses on -- and parodies -- the Zombie genre, as well as 1950s-style science fiction. This is presented in a comic book look featuring comic-book panels, dialogue boxes and storytelling. The gameplay involves side-scrolling adventures and stylus-controlled mini-games, double-screen boss battles and puzzle challenges.

Here's the game story's premise: Earth is under attack by a horde of aliens, and humans, having succumbed to ray-guns, mind-control and flying saucers, have let the planet fall into the clutches of the Big Brain and his army of Brain Thingys. Humanity's only hope comes in the form of three Teenage Zombies who have arisen from a graveyard disturbed in the invasion. The undead trio ignores their normal human victims in favor of the pulsing pink alien brains, and they're of course lured by the ultimate lunch: the Big Brain himself.

Ignition will bring the DS-exclusive game to both North America and Europe in spring 2008.
