DS News | Nintendo DS
The Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection has recently logged its one millionth unique user, a feat that took online powerhouse Xbox Live nearly two years to reach (it does cost $50 a year, after all). The ever-rising number of Nintendo DS owners means you'll spend less time waiting around in cyberspace lobbies for someone to stomp. According to Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of sales and marketing, there have been 27 million worldwide gaming sessions since the free ...

DS News | Nintendo DS
DS Lite, the newly redesigned DS, could be released in the UK as early as this summer should Nintendo's unofficial plans be realised, with all three colours available to eager punters. With huge numbers of gamers in Japan queuing up for DS Lite - both at the original launch where only Crystal White models were on sale, and the more recent second coming offering the Enamel Navy and Ice Blue options - it's already been a successful birth for Nintendo's handheld update. However, Nintendo itself ...

DS News | Dr Kawashima's Brain Training: How Old is Your Brain?
Who says video games don't teach you anything? International Brain Awareness Week kicks off on March 13th and can you believe there's a handheld game embracing the festivities? Already a major success in Japan, Nintendo's Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day is headed for the Nintendo DS on April 17th. The game's nothing more than a package of noggin-shredding minigames that whip your brain into shape. Yes, it's a cleverly disguised way to actually ... learn while playing "them damn ...

DS News | Nintendo DS
Even though the Game Boy Advance is in its waning years, there are still a few key genre titles to look out for. Atlus, perhaps best known for its low-key, yet astonishingly deep titles (like the DS' Trauma Center) has announced two new GBA strategy games that should chew up many handheld strategists' lives. Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation and Yggdra Union are coming to the GBA this summer and fall, respectively, with a Taisen sequel already slated to follow later in the year. Nintendo ...

DS News | Rousseau the Thief
DS has made stars out of lawyers and doctors recently with Phoenix Wright and Trauma Center, but soon the Nintendo handheld will be demonstrating the work of a much less respectable professional in Rousseau the Thief. The Namco-developed game has a similar anime style to Phoenix Wright and Trauma Center, and makes similarly innovative use of the stylus and the touch-screen; in order to keep Rousseau hidden from the law, gamers will have to draw patterns on his face in order to make him blend ...

DS News | Electroplankton
Handheld musical oddity Electroplankton isn't a typical game. It's a bizarrely freeform melody-maker for your DS - as this video will show you. We've already been acquainted with an import version of this beautiful freak but now you can see for yourself what makes Electroplankton on DS so quirky. By manipulating the game's onscreen plankton with the handheld's touch-screen and microphone you can create and share your own plinky melodies. Sure, it sounds pointless; there're no 'respect' ...

DS News | Nintendo DS
Nintendo has announced that it will soon launch two "major new initiatives" for its dual-screen handheld DS, namely free downloadable demos and the ability to chat using the machine's Wi-Fi capabilities. All the user has to do is click through the DS menu screen and select which demo they want to access. The content will automatically download and will remain ...
