DS News | Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
If you've been a happy Game Boy or DS owner at any point in the past five years, you're likely a fan of the immortal Castlevania series. Each one pits a lone hero against the forces of Dracula, but the latest entry in the series, Portrait of Ruin, bucks that trend by teaming you up with a magical young girl. To get the straight talk on the change, and just generally gush a little praise, we sat down with series creator Koji "IGA" Igarashi and composer Michiru Yamane. GamesRadar: Portrait of ...

Go, go, Tokyo Tokyo Game Show is revving up, and GamesRadar is there, chomping on sushi, stomping on buildings, and trying to see what the original pink Power Ranger looks like behind the mask. We're also playing the crap out of everything we can, so check our TGS landing page for all the good stuff. We'll be updating over the weekend as well, so don't take a day off from checking just because the morning cartoons are better. Insect army attacks Activision These days, everybody sues ...

Nintendo throws parties for "normals" In what has been elected today's strangest news story, we find ourselves directing you to some mom's blog. Apparently, Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata is so convinced that selling the Wii is like selling cosmetics that he's adopting Avon's business model - Nintendo is now going door-to-door, showing its Wii to any non-gamer who will let it into their living room and invite the neighborhood. So, yeah. Some suburban soccer-madre and her brood have logged more ...

DS News | LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy
We've done our best to try to convince you of the ultimate supremacy of LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, but, as it turns out, the world either has no need of our advice or takes it very seriously. Selling 1.1 million copies (or "units" as industry pundits call them) in its very first week of being available to the masses, LEGO Star Wars II has cemented the value of family friendly titles in this blood-soaked, violence-mongering industry. Of course, it helps that the game is ...

DS News | Nintendo DS
RPG developer BioWare, famous for Baldur's Gate on PC and Knights of the Old Republic on Xbox, has started a handheld division that's currently developing at least one DS game. It's not as surprising as it might sound, considering the company's founders were enthusing about PSP and DS in a 2005 interview: "[We're] huge handheld fans," co-founder Ray Muzyka told GameSpot. "We spent the entire time on the plane on the way down to LA playing Lumines. Can you imagine some of our RPGs on a ...
