The SimCity series has built up a strong reputation over the years, but mainly on the PC. However, thanks to a helping hand from Nintendo, the Maxis classic was reworked for the SNES and following that there was no turning back, with SimCity 2000 eventually making its way to that system, as well as even the GBA. However, now EA has created a fresh edition, based on SimCity 3000 for the DS and Cubed³ was lucky enough to catch up with the development team to talk about this latest project, SimCity DS.
EA have recently announced today that the makers of SimCity will be returning with SimCity DS, developed especially for the DS platform. In addition to creating and growing their very own pocket sized city while being on-the-go, players will be able to leverage the unique action features of the DS, discovering an entirely new way to play this internationally acclaimed franchise. The product will make its debut to consumers worldwide in summer of this year.
The Simpsons Game for PlayStation 2 has finally managed to take out the top spot in the Australian game charts -- seven weeks after its initial release -- according to data trackers GfK Australia. The DS version of the game also made it into the top 10, taking out the seventh spot.
The review scores from EGM #222 (December 2007) are revealed:
Looks like EA is giving Simpsons fans reason enough to plunk down early money for The Simpsons Game coming in October. Folks who pre-order the game will get their very own Homerball!
