DS - Professor Layton and the Curious Village - Download DS games on Wii Nintendo set to offer full DS games for download via Wii

US Nintendo DS owners will soon be able to download DS games through their Wii, Nintendo US boss Reggie Fils-Amie has told the New York Times.

The service will offer both complete games and demos, which will be directly downloaded to Wii via broadband, then wirelessly transmitted to DS.

DS - Professor Layton and the Curious Village - Level 5 announces two new games The developers of Dragon Quest VIII and Jeanne D'Arc reveal two new games in preparation for the Tokyo Game Show. Professor Layton and Pandora's Box, the sequel to Professor Layton and the Curious Village set for release later this year in the US. DS - Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords - GDC '08: Puzzle Quest was deemed too risky Just like the Beatles, Puzzle Quest was turned down many times before D3 Publisher took the game on, Infinite Interactive CEO Steve Fawkner told the audience at his Game Developers Conference session.

Fawkner said that the pitching process was incredibly frustrating, which he illustrated with a cartoon. He said, "because it was deemed an 'innovative product,' it was difficult to sell the idea. We had one publisher who said they loved it, but they wouldn't publish it because they had no idea how many copies it would sell." A while later, the same publisher asked for more copies of the game, and Fawkner presumed this was because it had changed its mind on publishing the title. "They said 'no'," he laughed. "They just wanted more copies because everyone was playing it in the lunchtime in their office."

DS - Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords - More Puzzle Quest On The Way D3Publisher of America has confirmed that a second entry in the ultra-addictive Puzzle Quest franchise is due this year. No further details on the title are available, though company also revealed it will be publishing a Shaun the Sheep video game and another Ben 10 title.

Released last year, the Infinite Interactive-developed Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords took the gaming community by storm with its addictive combination of color-matching combat and RPG-style quests. The initial Nintendo DS and PSP editions were followed by PC, PlayStation 2, and Wii iterations along with an Xbox 360 release via the online Xbox Live Arcade.
