Even the less common touches like coins and energy you can suck in from afar and a head-to-head multiplayer mode for players who live in an alternate universe where they actually know another shooter fan, won't revolutionize the genre. Also, you'll quickly realize you'd rather use buttons instead of the touch screen to change weapons (but you can't), that some weapons are far, far better than others, and that despite a cool objectives-based challenge mode, this ride is as short as it is sweet. Modern gamers will have had enough long before the end, but if explosive, old fashioned space blasting is what you want, you'll find yourself aching for more.
