The official website for Moon, is now live, offering new details about this game developed by Renegade Kid. Moon is a sci-fi, action-adventure title for Nintendo DS which places gamers on the cold lunar surface in the year 2058. Researchers are shocked to find a sealed, alien hatch during construction of a new lunar base, but it's a shock that soon pales in comparison to what they find beyond the hatch. Moon promises to deliver high-quality 3D visuals, intuitive controls, real-time lighting, and dynamic audio.

Moon - Prologue Story

This is one of the developer's of the highly anticipated DS game Moon's blog post. It contains a nice little prologue story for their upcoming title. In case you didn't know Moon is a FPS/Survival Horror game that takes place on an outpost on the moon where astronauts have discovered a unopened Alien door on the surface of the planet. The developers claim it to play very much like System Shock 2 one of the best games of all time. (we'll see)

DS - Moon - Renegade Kid calls Moon 'more ambitious' than Dementium

''Dementium: The Ward, developer Renegade Kid's debut release for the Nintendo DS, certainly pushed the frontier of what we expect from handheld gaming, but it was far from perfect. Company co-owner Jools Watsham conceded as much to us during a recent interview, but added that Renegade Kid's next project, the recently announced DS title Moon, will be even "more ambitious" than the studio's freshman effort.

"We're being much more ambitious with the environments, particle effects, enemies and cinematic cut-scenes," commented Watsham. "Even though we pushed the DS with Demenitum, we were still being slightly cautious due to our time frame and growing experience with the platform. This time around with Moon, we are being a little less cautious while still be expressive and ambitious."
