This week's new video games bring a mix of movies, real-time strategy, sports, and RPGs. Tomorrow (Sunday) is the release of Pokemon Platinum. It will be a big seller for the DS with the large base of Pokémon collectors out there. Now that gamers have warmed up to RTS gaming with Halo Wars, it may be a good time to check out Stormrise from SEGA. Stormrise offers a new perspective to the traditional RTS with a third-person view and vertical gameplay. PLAYSTATION 3 gamers looking for a solid RTS fix should check out the Ultimate Edition of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3. Video cutscenes look great on the Blu-ray edition. Try the demo just recently released on the PlayStation Network to see for yourself. Wanted: Weapons of Fate is a movie-inspired game that looks promising. A demo is available on Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network as well. As a little bonus, we have a video featuring the artist of the Wanted comic book below, courtesy of Hollywood.com. Another dose of Hollywood is coming from Vin Diesel in The Wheelman, the Midway game that Ubisoft is helping to co-publish. See more new videogame releases in the week ahead below! Activision-Blizzard have today updated their latest European release schedule for the first quarter of 2009. With a collection of Wii games and some intriguing PLAYSTATION3 and Xbox360 titles on the list – as well as, of course, Monsters Vs. Aliens based on the Dreamworks' movie of the same name – the line-up will almost certainly do well at retail; convincing Hardcore Gamers may well be more difficult.

Activision have just released new details of the forthcoming multi-format release of Dreamworks Monsters Vs. Aliens: The Video game, officially confirming a European launch. The title is currently scheduled for a March 2009 release on Xbox360, PLAYSTATION3, Wii, PlayStation2, NintendoDS and PC...

Activision is excited to announce a new game based on an upcoming DreamWorks Animation 3D feature film – Monsters vs. Aliens. The game will be available in March 2009 for Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii, DS and PC. Beenox, Inc. is developing all versions except the DS version, which is in development by Amaze Entertainment.
