Metroid Prime: Hunters DS shots

E3 2004: A slew of double-screened shots emerge, along with intruiging new control details

We have the first images of Metroid Prime: Hunters, Samus's DS outing. As you can see, Nintendo's new two-screen handheld appears to be ideal, and we confidently expect this to be the best of the first generation of DS titles.

Hunters does an impressive job of aping its Gamecube predecessor's visuals and the controls use the stylus to choose weapons, morph or, with a quick poke of the screen, fire, while the pad or stick are used for movement and shoulder buttons lock-on.

The version of Metroid Prime: Hunters on show at E3 showcases the multiplayer game, but the finished product will include a fully developed, single-player mission fest.
