Activision-Blizzard have today released an updated release schedule for their autumn/winter line-up. Within the schedule are release dates for all of Activision-Blizzard's highly-anticipated releases throughout October, November and December 2009, including DJ Hero, Band Hero and possibly one of the strongest releases of 2009, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Traveller's Tales Would Love To Make LEGO Batman Sequel (News)

An excerpt from the latest issue of NGamer, an interview with Traveller's Tales' Arthur Parsons:

"NGamer: Do you see the wider DC universe making it into Lego form? The Justice League could be good.

Arthur Parsons: Whether any more of the DC universe makes the transition into Lego depends largely on the success of Lego Batman, and on whether Traveller's Tales, Warner Bros. and Lego want to make any other characters into Lego games. I'd love to make a sequel to Lego Batman because it was immense fun to work on."

Toys R Us is also offering free shipping on select items including many LucasArts videogames including Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Thrillville and Lego: Indiana Jones. Several videogames include a buy-one-get-one-half-price offer. Also:

MSNBC video game section has been polling gamers about their favorite games in a number of categories, trying to narrow down the search for the Game of the Year.

On Thursday the site put up the poll to decide which of the finalists, culled from the best of each genre, should be named the game of the year.

The finalists are:

At the time of this writing Call of Duty 4 was leading with 31 percent of the vote. BioShock was close behind with 22 percent and Mass Effect was in a distant third with 8.6 percent.

The first trailer from LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga has hit the internet. Featuring plenty of gameplay, it's viewable over at LucasArts' website. Confirmation on The Complete Saga arrived last week. Developed by Traveller's Tales, the game will let you play through all six Star Wars movies and adds new characters - such as Watto, Zam Wessell and Boss Nass - new levels and new features. Traveller's Tales' series of LEGO Star Wars game are great. We should all agree on that. And the series is set to explode like the Death Star across all major platforms. A release date has yet to be revealed though, but you've got to think that the run-up to Christmas is a good bet.
