Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy

This is not the port you're looking for

Luckily, this is the most fully cross-platform game available in 2006, so there are seven other versions of The Original Trilogy to choose from, all better than this shoddy rush job. Adding insult to injury, on any other console this is the best use of the Star Wars license out there - at least the good stuff is only a trade-in away.

[Ed note: Rumor - which LucasArts could neither confirm nor deny at the time of this posting - has it that a 'second shipment' of cartridges will be cleaner, but still buggy. We played a day one version and also a copy from our local GameStop that was resupplied the first week of October. Both had the same problems.]

You'll love
  • The concept's simple charm
  • Truly funny saga riffs
  • Moments without crashes
You'll hate
  • Persistent bugs
  • Shoddy visual conversion
  • Imprecise controls
