I am Iron Man

Feast your eyes on some tasty screens

Nov 5, 2007

Eat your heart out, Spider-Man.

The Iron Man game was first unveiled at this year's E3, and we were far from impressed about what we were looking at during the live action demo. That early on, it looked like any other superhero game and we all know how badly they do.

But look at that 360 screen down below. Does that look so bad? Click on the Images tab if you need more evidence.

During a recent interview producer Justin Lambros explained how the studio would ensure that Iron Man won’t be just flying and shooting, level after level: "Iron Man can do a lot more than just fly and shoot, so we've got a bunch of different kinds of combat for him.

"Also, there are a huge variety of enemies with some pretty cool strategy elements required to take them on. Plus, there's the suit customization part of the game, which is pretty significant."

So, will the movie take this game any more seriously than the eyesores of times past?

"Marvel has always understood that its characters needed to be faithfully recreated in multiple mediums," responds Lambros. "While Marvel Studios is definitely a film-centric company, they are very open and interested to all the products that come along with their films. Many of the people in my office are gamers, even some of the filmmakers, which really helps to be able to collaborate with them."
