"Some might say last week, others the week before that, but for me, there is no competition: This week is the greatest week in games EVER! Mass Effect, you say? Well, how about History Channel: Battle for the Pacific? Super Mario Galaxy? I've got my copy of Space Ace HD right here, waiting for you. That's it, fellas. I'm blowing my holiday pay on these hot titles and maybe I'll pick up a copy of The Tuttles Madcap Misadventures: Starlight Starbright Charity Challenge just to play in my down time. Tell me, how do you compete with that?"
When hes not taking fat bong rips, Xbox LIVE gamer ChIefIn4LIFE420 probably takes a moment each day to admire the top scores on the Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved leader board. At least thats what wed be doing if we were ranked as number one with a ridiculous high score of 500,684,945 points next to our gamer tag.

But that puny pool of points is peanuts when compared to what can be achieved in Geometry Wars: Galaxies on the Wii. Meet Mavis Giss, QA tester for Sierra Entertainment, ...
Nov 20, 2007

At its core, Geometry Wars: Galaxies is pretty much the same as Retro Evolved on the 360, and that's a good thing. You still pilot the same old claw-shaped ship and must survive never-ending waves of hostile shapes that attack you from every angle for as long as possible. Dodging death by mere pixels, while blasting your way through swarms of enemies amidst the colorful chaos is still mesmerizing on the Wii, but does Galaxies have enough meat to warrant the price of a full game? ...

Kotaku reports the following update on their previous article regarding delays for Geometry Wars: Galaxies.

"Yesterday we reported that Sierra's Geometry Wars: Galaxies for the Nintendo DS and Wii had been pushed back to January 18th, 2008, and to a certain extent it was true - but only for Europe. Galaxies is still on track for the Wii release on the 20th and the DS release a week later in North America according to Sierra, who dropped us a line last night to clear things up. We report on global gaming events, and sometimes the global part gets us a little dizzy. Have you seen that thing spin? Mesmerizing I tell you. So in summary, North American gamers be happy, European gamers continue lamenting. We'll keep you updated should your emotional state need to change any further."
Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved was the best 5 bucks you could spend on gaming last year. You could feel like you really got your money's worth, even though the game had only one level - one neverending, nerves shredding, relentless level. It was the intensity, the challenge, and the bragging rights that brought the game alive. The trippy visuals and enemies that seemed themed after Lucky Charms marshmallows didn't hurt, either.

Yesterday we got to pick up and play both the Wii and DS versions of ...
Anyway, the mighty Geometry Wars is on its way to Wii and DS, and anyone who played the 360 version will know what brilliant news this is - not least because Geometry Wars Galaxies here features enhancements to the classic original, including new weapons, new enemies and two-player ...
As these first images of Geometry Wars: Galaxies can confirm, the hit Xbox Live Arcade retro-esque shooter is heading to Nintendo's Wii and DS systems this autumn.

Developed by Kuju - the original Geometry Wars was created by Project Gotham creator Bizarre Creations - the Nintendo-based version will feature all new multiplayer and single-player modes.

Galaxies builds on its predecessor's simple-but-stunning gameplay by adding a mission-based campaign. There's quests to battle through, solar ...
