Retro-revived or rip-off remake? Find out how this arcade hit measures up against its 360 forefather
Words: Tyler Nagata, GamesRadar US
There’s only so much you can do to dress up an inexpensive arcade title to justify marking up the price for the retail shelves. But due to the wealth of new content up its sleeve, Galaxies still manages to offer enough big bangs and psychedelic booms for your buck. Fans will easily forgive the spots where Galaxies feels rough around the edges. But even strangers to the series will be hard pressed to find a shooter as satisfying as Galaxies on the DS. There’s a lot more replay value to be found in here, and unlike the forgotten titles that have collected dust since you beat them, Geometry Wars: Galaxies is the sort of game that you’ll want to dive back into for another round (or ten) long after your first encounter.
You'll love
