Geometry Wars: Galaxies


A sequel to the Xbox Live Arcade shooter Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved has been listed by Australian ratings group OFLC, providing extremely strong evidence that a follow-up is on the way.

Retro Evolved 2, which was submitted by Geometry Wars dev Bizarre Creations's new owner Activision, was issued a 'G' rating by the Australian group today.

Kotaku reports the following update on their previous article regarding delays for Geometry Wars: Galaxies. Yesterday we reported that Sierra's Geometry Wars: Galaxies for the Nintendo DS and Wii had been pushed back to January 18th, 2008, and to a certain extent it was true - but only for Europe. Galaxies is still on track for the Wii release on the 20th and the DS release a week later in North America according to Sierra, who dropped us a line last night to clear things up. We report on global gaming events, and sometimes the global part gets us a little dizzy. Have you seen that thing spin? Mesmerizing I tell you. So in summary, North American gamers be happy, European gamers continue lamenting. We'll keep you updated should your emotional state need to change any further.

Sierra Entertainment has announced that Geometry Wars: Galaxies will be available in the UK on January 18 for Wii and Nintendo DS. An all-new title in the Geometry Wars franchise, Galaxies features masses of enemies, more than 60 planets, bigger power-ups and a brand-new Battle Drone to help players through the campaign.
