Pokemon Diamond/Pearl

PokeWalkthrough

The Pokemon trainer's definitive guide to the sights and wildlife of Sinnoh

Words: Heidi Kemps, GamesRadar US

Fly on back over to Veilstone City. It’s time to rid this town of the stench of Team Galactic once and for all. Unfortunately, there’s that little problem of “getting in.” Seems like you need a keycard of some sort to go inside. If past experience is anything to go by, Galactic Grunts are really lousy at holding onto their entry devices. Check around the Galactic buildings to find one such grunt that will oh-so-conveniently drop the keycard for you. Thanks, buddy!

Now for the “breaking in” part of things. Head back to the warehouse where you found Fly, then use the keycard to open the door you couldn’t get through previously. There’s a Dark Stone lying around here, too, which you can use to evolve one of your pokes. Grab that and then head into the basement.

When you reach the basement, you'll see another door that will require a new keycard to open up. We've got an exclusive movie showing us going from meeting our rival at the Lake all the way up to the door before the big boss!

Along the way, you’ll spot a bed sitting smackdab in the middle of HQ. If you ever need some recovery, return here for a quick nap with your pokemon. (You figure out why the Galactic lackeys never attempt to chloroform and kidnap you in your sleep.)

Now, it’s time to face the Galactic Boss himself. What might this master of villainy look like?

It's none other than Whiny McEmokid, the blue-haired Cyrus. Don't evil masterminds have better things to do than mope around all day? Sheesh.

He seems much happier now, though, since Team Galactic’s plans appear to have (finally) met with success. Are you ready for a fight? You’d better be! Watch as we take on Cyrus’s super-team.

After you win, Cyrus will give you a Master Ball (that he says he no longer needs) before taking off. Apparently you are playing right into his plans, and that’s never good… but it doesn’t seem like we have much choice but to follow him to Mt. Coronet.

After taking the warp panel out of the room, we wind up in a dark, creepy-looking lab filled with tubes and computers. As we walk through the place, we come across a terrifying sight – the Legendary Trio hooked up to some of these mechanical monstrosities!

You’ll also find Saturn lurking here, and he’s none too happy about that whole lake incident. You’re going to have to fight him again, it seems. His pokemon are the same team you went up against at Lake Valour, but at higher levels. Use the same tactics as you did before and you’ll pull through just fine.

It looks like he’s finally ready to admit defeat, and allows you to release the Legendary Trio. Thankfully, this is the last we’ll be seeing of him. His partners-in-crime, however…

For Page 27 readers

When trying to catch Mesprit, you may want to try using a move like Mean Look to make sure it cant escape or using a Pokemon like Trapinch from Ruby or Sapphire which has the ability "Arena Trap" so wild Pokemon cant escape from battle without making your Pokemon faint first.
Hope they help!

To Karolab,
I found the pokemon drifloon on route 205. I was walking towards the valley windworks entrance. and it just appeared in front of me. not on the grass, just in my pathway. i was actually quite shocked. it is the only pokemon that i have seen just appear out of nowhere.hope that helps, i have only seen and captured it once!

if u take mesprit down to minimal health it wil stay like that and wont recover, so if u get it that far and then use the map in the pokewatch to see it move around on the map moving between routes moves it around the map so if u find a spot where it goes and move between 2 routes u can gradually manuever it to ure area, once its there u can run around the grass and find it usually pretty easily, and since uve already taken its health down u just need to focus on catching it. After using mean look or arena trap effects and can sit a powerful pokemon out front and keep healing it while throwing as many ultra balls as u can if u follow this its pretty easy to capture it only took me a couple o attempts to do this nd not too long using level 50-60's

Gd Luck
