Game: Pokemon Snap
Platform: Nintendo 64
The Skinny: An interactive Pokemon safari!

In this unique game, you play a fledgling Pokemon photographer (with a name dumber than Tracey Sketchit) that has been commissioned by Professor Oak to snap photos. You get to travel around Pokemon Island to see the critters in their natural habitat. There are different items you can use to make the Pokemon behave in different ways, allowing you to take more creative photos. Unique photos that are well framed are required to impress Professor Oak.

Although this was a very simple game, we were dazzled by its charm, creativity, and uniqueness. It really made us feel like we were on some kind of Pokemon safari. The hidden Pokemon and tough-to-get photos made us play it over and over again. Throwing Pester Balls to anger Electabuzz, getting Snorlax to dance, and getting Jigglypuff to sing was all kinds of fun.

Pokemon Snap is now available on the Wii Virtual Console, ready to dazzle a new generation of gamers and bring back nostalgic bliss to longtime fans.
