E3 07: Atlus unveils four unique new games

Peripheral happy developer continues creative Nintendo onslaught

Truama Center: New Blood | Wii
Trauma Center is going back under the Wii’s knife with a little New Blood. The sequel will include an all new story, characters with fully voiced dialogue, 16 x 9 widescreen support, and an online ranking system. Best of all Trauma Center: New Blood will offer a two-player cooperative mode to potentially reinforce gender stereotypes on the lady in your household. To girlfriend: “Nurse! Scalpel… Mop my Brow…Get that cat outta here!”

Touch Detective 2 1/2 | DS
Another entry in the burgeoning, tactile-occupational genre, Atlus continues its quirky gumshoe series with Touch Detective 2 1/2 for the DS. This time Detective Mackenzie will traverse twice the locations of the previous game while sleuthing some bizarre acts of thievery. We’re promised five longer and “wittier” episodes, plus many more side quests and unlockables for dicks with a keen eye.

Ontamarama | DS
Mic check! What’s a couple of aspiring maestros to do when evil demons descend on an island paradise to rob inhabitants of resplendent joy, spiritual symphonies and general mojo? Well in Ontamarama, you’ll grab a stylus, point your lips to the microphone, and ready your reflexes and rhythm (re: your “funk”) for this music-based DS game.

Draglade | DS
And the beating goes on. Draglade for the Nintendo DS employs a clever mix of fighting and music. More than simply throwing elbows, this rhythmic brawler will also require your auditory senses in order to unleash some of the more devastating Beat Combos. Draglade promises a new and creative way to trade licks, and by the looks of it, you could conceivably get your ass handed to you by a blind kid.
