Last month it was revealed that Japanese customers pre-ordering Chrono Trigger would be treated to a 2-track promotional music CD featuring arranged orchestral music from the game. The disc has now been spied as a pre-order bonus at GameStop in the United States, as if you needed another reason to pre-order the game. The first track will be an arrangement of the main theme while the second will be a medley from the game.
The DS remake of the classic game, Chrono Trigger, has been announced to have an added mini-game. The mini-game involves the battling of monsters, either by yourself or with friends across the DS's wireless connectivity. While in-depth details on the mini-game have yet to be released, there are said to be 50 kinds of monsters, and winning a battle will result in a rare item.
A new addition to the DS release of Chrono Trigger is Monster Battling, which lets players breed and fight monsters.
Square-Enix UK have revealed the box art for Chrono Trigger's first ever European release.
Looks like Japanese gamers will be enjoying a cool bonus CD as their pre-order bonus for Chrono Trigger on the DS. It contains two tracks, "Chrono Trigger Orchestral Version" and "Chrono Trigger Orchestral Medley." Looks pretty sweet. Let's hope they give something cool to gamers in the United States as well.
It is time to revel in a most minuscule victory for American Chrono Trigger fans, as news arrives that The States will be getting Chrono Trigger DS a whole TWO DAYS before Japan! Never mind the fact that Japanese pre-orders also come with a two-track orchestral theme music disc ... TWO DAYS! America's release date is October 25 while Japan has to wait until October 27.
Square Enix have announced today that their Chrono Trigger remake for the DS has a firm release date for the North American market. And that date is November 25. Which is a Tuesday, in case you were wondering. While we're on the subject of wondering, if you're outside of America (ie in Europe or Australia) and are wondering if you got a firm date, answer's no. It's still "2009". So set your importing watches to November 25.
