Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin

Portrait of secrets - packed with spoilers

We chronicle 13 amazing moments in this epic Castlevania

Speaking of the City of Haze, it's ripe with crazy little touches you might have missed. The abandoned town has table after elaborately decorated table that you can stomp to bits (ruining the delicious entrée that was ready to be served) and, even better, countless shelves stacked with old books and cooking ingredients.

Above: Stomping around the City of Haze will cause all kinds of problems

Once you gain the ability to air-kick (down and the jump button while in the air), you can fling yourself at these shelves to send crap flying in all directions. It's a small, petty activity, but damn is it ever fun. Similarly, there's a butcher's shop in the upper left hand corner that you can visit. Once there, smack around an assortment of hanging meats just to prove you can. Punch 'em with just your fists and they turn into Ground Meat, an item needed for an early quest. Even dead, half-prepared creatures are a nuisance that Jonathan feels he must attack.
