Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin

Portrait of secrets - packed with spoilers

We chronicle 13 amazing moments in this epic Castlevania

Closely related to the skill system, obviously, are the weapons you choose to equip. Most are run-of-the-mill items like ninja stars, spears and boomerangs, but there are two super-nutty weapons that deserve their own place in the series' goofy canon - the cream pie and the paper airplane.

Above: Who knew delicious cream filling could stop a reanimated knight?

Mastering the pie doesn't net you any real advantage, but becoming proficient in the art of paper airplane-tossing will place two tiny figures from the Parodius series on the pointy planes. If you squint really hard, you might be able to confirm that. Both items are hidden in the City of Haze and have ridiculous descriptions to boot:

Paper Airplane
"Not terribly intimidating, but just might put someone's eye out."

Cream Pie
"A throwing weapon aimed at an enemy's face for psychological damage."
