Doctor Who "The Crimson Horror" Overnight Ratings

Official overnight figures show that 4.61 million people came in from the sun to watch Doctor Who "The Crimson Horror" last night.

That’s another drop, and getting perilously close to the lowest overnight figure since the show came back into 2005. Admittedly, there are all the usual caveats – iPlayer, catch-up services, etc – and Doctor Who always performs spectacularly well in that regard, but we’ll have to wait until the end of the season when all the figures are in to see if those alternative forms of viewing are closing the whole gap. Hopefully good word of mouth form this episode, the Gaiman factor and an army of Cybermen will help the overnights next week, because while the overnights are becoming less relevant, they’re still not totally irrelevant – and a good overnight is a great basis from which to build.

And, as usual, the episode currently sits atop the iPlayer chart. And with such a fun episode, make sure you get as many other people who missed it last night to watch it on iPlayer instead.
