Disney survey points to Epic Mickey sequel

Disney's Epic Mickey, the company's collaboration with Deus Ex developer Warren Spector, was particularly well received in GamesRadar’s review, but the Wii-exclusive platformer didn’t receive the attention we felt it deserved. Still, there’s good news for Disney fans in the form of a survey, suggesting that a sequel is in the works.

Here's four prospective covers for a potential Disney title that might be called Epic Mickey 2: Return of the Mad Doctor, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, Epic Mickey 2: Mystery on Mean Street, or just plain old Epic Mickey 2. According to Destructoid, the game, survey participants were told, would reunite Mickey and his long-lost brother, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, a prototypal Disney animated character licensed out but regained by the studio in 2006. Mickey's paint and thinner from the first game would be joined by Oswald's powers of flight and lightning, with the game supporting two-player split-screen play in “a world filled with Disney's forgotten characters.”

“Based on the description you just read, how likely would you be to buy Disney Epic Mickey 2 for yourself, your family or someone else?” the survey asks. How likely indeed?
