The latest trailer for next year’s Devil May Cry HD Collection offers a look at how the series has evolved over the years. See how the years have changed Dante, from his stoic beginnings as a stylish demon slayer in the original to the wild and crazy occult loon seen in DMC 3.

Scheduled for an early 2012 release, the Devil May Cry HD Collection bundles the first three games of the series together for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, allowing players to get caught up on Dante's escapades before Ninja Theory invalidates the whole continuity with its upcoming DmC reboot.

aaaa,, another great game coming to HD. well, as long as I got devil may cry 1 and vergil, I'm game.

Can't wait to play through DMC1 and 3 again in HD glory! DMC3 in particular felt like a near-perfect action game and I've played through it dozens of times. I suppose DMC2 will be worth another look since its been years since I've played it. :P

Yes, this confirms that it's the Special Edition of DMC 3! Playing as Virgil was epic, so glad we'll get to do it with this version :D

I never got the chance to play as him, I'm not sure if the collectors edition was available in europe. Anyway, playing as him'll be a nice upgrade incentive. Also, super happy to see the soundtracks haven't been messed with. The DMC games have some of the heaviest, most awesome Tracks I've ever heard, up there with things like Brutal Legend, and that's something I'm going to miss the most about the new one, since, after the trailers, I'm assuming it's going to have some stupid indie emo vibe.

Yes! I'm really glad this is coming out but I'm scared about when I get to 3 with it's brutal difficulty n' such....
