Destiny: Xur weapons, gear, and location, March 18 - 20. Zhalo Supercell!

Xur, Destiny’s travelling weekend trader, whittler of rustic figurines, and aficionado of early Jamaican Dancehall, is back. He’s hanging out in Tower North this week, just opposite where the Speaker spouts his hideous lies and slander. What’s he selling this week? Well actually it’s really rather good stuff.

  • An Insurmountable Skullfort (Exotic Titan helmet) - 13 Strange Coins
  • Obsidian Mind (Exotic Warlock helmet) - 13 Strange Coins
  • Radiant Dance Machines (Exotic Hunter leg boots) - 13 Strange Coins
  • Legacy Engram (Heavy weapons) - 31 Strange Coins
  • Zhalo Supercell (Exotic auto rifle) – 23 Strange Coins
  • Three of Coins – 7 Strange Coins
  • Glass Needle – 3 Strange Coins

The Titan’s Insurmountable Skullfort is a good brute force option, furnishing an extra charge on your melee, and so a second shot at a Force Barrier for each full meter. The Obsidian Mind is an absolute killer selection for Warlocks, being one of the two pieces of Exotic armour most commonly touted around as ‘actually the goddamn best’ – the other being Heart of the Praxic Fire. It essentially charges up your Nova Bomb using your previous Nova Bomb, which is all kinds of cheating, but also brilliant if you play your Warlock for all-out assault.

The Radiant Dance Machines, despite having one of the best names in all of Destiny’s Exotic roster, are only really useful in PvP, given that their chief perk is to increase your speed while scoped. But use them as part of an agility build with reciprocal perks, and you can actually get some really decent results in exchange for a little strategic effort.

And the big news: Xur actually has a gun this week! And it’s a good one, too. An elemental Primary – an increasingly rare occurrence, of you believe Bungie’s latest statements about their weapon plans – this arc Auto Rifle has a chance of delivering chain-lightning damage, refilling your ammo on double-kills, and recharging your Super. Basically, it’s a bit of a beast, and a great solution for mob control, should you be fighting enemies with the right (blue) shields.

As per ever, Xur will be in the Tower until 10am UK / 2am PT on Sunday, at which point he'll vanish for another week. So get in there soon, while he actually has a strong line-up.
