Destiny: Xur weapons, gear, and location, July 1 - 3. Bad Juju!

Xur, Destiny’s weekend trader, fan of late Gothic Revival furnishings, and tireless Disco Hopper enthusiast, is back. This week he’s in the Reef, angrily throwing party-sized sausage rolls at any passing ship he deems flown without due care and attention for the congestion inherent to the area. What’s he selling though? Well, subverting his usual ethos of ‘Give with one hand, slap across the chops with the other’, it’s all pretty brilliant stuff.

• Twilight Garrison (Titan Chest Armour) - 13 Strange Coins
• Mask of the Third Man (Exotic Hunter helmet) – 13 Strange Coins
• Apotheosis Veil (Exotic Warlock helmet) – 13 Strange Coins
• Bad Juju (Exotic pulse rifle) – 23 Strange Coins
• Legacy Engram (Helmet engram) - 31 Strange Coins
• Three of Coins – 7 Strange Coins
• Glass Needle – 3 Strange Coins

Twilight Garrison is a rather natty option for Titans, furnishing them with a new move – an air-dodge – activated with a quick button tap. Ideal for more safely crossing big mobs, and faking out opponents in the Crucible. Blade Dancing Hunters get a really tempting offer too, in the form of Mask of the Third Man. The helmet reduces the amount of Super energy used up by each hit with an Arc Blade attack, and also gives you bonus Super energy in exchange for melee and Special Weapon kills on PvE enemies, meaning that you can knife waltz all the more frequently as well.

As for Warlocks, the Apotheosis Veil is a deeply under-rated Exotic, giving you full health, melee and grenade energy upon activating your Super. Given the immediately offensive nature of all Warlock Supers, it lets you make a hell of a comeback in an instant, and if you combine it with Sunsinger, then you’re on to a serious winner. And Bad Juju? It’s just a monster. It fires fast, accurately, has full-auto, and instantly reloads and buffs its damage on every kill. And adds bonus charge to your Super gauge. If you don’t already have it, you should get it. There is little ambiguity about the situation.

As ever, Xur is around until 10am UK / 2am PT on Sunday, after while he’ll vanish forevermore. Or possibly just until next week. By which I mean ‘definitely just until next week’.
