Destiny: Xur weapons, gear, and location, December 4-6. Telesto!

Xur, Destiny's weekend merchant, is back once again (much like the Renegade Master). Hope you've been saving your Strange Coins, because he's got a coat-full of Exotic swag to sell you. This week Xur is over in the Reef, so don't wander round the Tower looking for him - he's on his travels. It's a fairly pedestrian selection of armour this week, but you'll want a piece of Telesto if you don't already own one... Here's his full inventory:

• Telesto [Exotic Fusion Rifle] – 23 Strange Coins
• The Stag (Exotic Warlock Helmet) - 13 Strange Coins
• Ruin Wings (Exotic Titan Gauntlets) - 13 Strange Coins
• Skyburner's Annex (Exotic Hunter Helmet) - 13 Strange Coins
• Legacy special weapon Engram - 31 Strange Coins
• Three of Coins - 7 Strange Coins
• Glass Needle – 3 Strange Coins + 1 Exotic Shard

So, you'll want to buy Telesto. It's a neat Fusion Rifle that acts as a sticky-grenade launcher, so when you've hit an enemy there's a slight delay between connection and explosion. Want to take out groups of foes in the Crucible, or packs of mobs in PvE? This gets the job done. The supporting perks are handy too - Battlerunner gives you the chance to get to cover while your projectile explodes, and Harbinger's Spark will generate orbs for the whole team if you pull off multi-kills. Handy. Always useful to have someone on your Fireteam packing this on a Raid.

As for the armour? It's a fairly underwhelming selection. Ruin Wings is still the inferior choice of Gauntlet for Titans - the increased Heavy Ammo drops are useful for the pointy-end of Raids and Nightfalls, but it lacks the game-changing perks of Bellicose or No Back-up Plans. The Stag is handy for Sunsinger Warlocks, as its increased Super charge time means you'll be able to use Radiance more frequently. However, the moment to moment perks are fairly pedestrian. It does look horrifically cool, though, but does tend to make you more of a target in Crucible... Skyburners Annex is great for Hunters who rely on Heavy Weapons, thanks to the orb generation from heavy kills, but it doesn't offer anything truly special or unique, so you're better off using your Exotic slot elsewhere.

And that's all, folks. Xur is hawking the usual set of Three of Coins and Glass Needles too, so grab them if you need them. Just remember that he's around until 10am Sunday (UK time) and 2am Sunday (Pacific time), after which he's gone FOREVER.
