Scottish writer/director Jeff Stark presents his first short film (which precedes every UK print of Divorcing Jack), promoted as a "a black and humourous tale about the supernatural results of a man's greed." Desserts is the product of a union between Levi Strauss&Co and production company Firesign, representing the highlight of a project to help British talent bring their ideas to the screen.
McGregor lends his big-name support to this minutely concise slice of celluloid, a simple, competently shot tale of a man on a beach who finds a chocolate eclair. The resolution, however is, clever, dramatic and completely unexpected. Enjoy.
