DealsRadar - Buy 2, Get 1 Free on Console Games at Target (11/10/13)

Shares

'Tis the season to be jolly … well, 'tis almost the season to be jolly. But 'tis definitely the season for great video game deals. As we inch toward Turkey Day and Black Friday, offers like the ones below will be popping up so fast and furiously you'll expect a cameo from Vin Diesel.

Be sure to follow @GamesRadarDeals for a real-time feed of the hottest game deals around.

Buy 2, Get 1 Free at Target

The good folks at Target (pronounced tar-jhay) have an offer that really hits the spot — buy two video games at their regular price, get a third game for absolutely free. That's bupkis. Zero. Zilch. The only catch (as far as we can tell) is that the free game is the cheapest of the three ... but if you're buying three $60 games, that hardly matters. For example, you could purchase Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, and Assassin's Creed IV together and basically pay just $40 each, which is probably what they should cost in the first place (we kid, we kid).

Note: Amazon has a similar promotion coming up for PS4 games but Target's deal is on all platforms (current-gen and next-gen) and runs a few days longer, through 11/16. Also, Target's offer is online-only so don't even think about hassling a clerk in a crimson polo about this.

Dishonored GOTY Edition

Speaking of targets, if methodically hunting and killing bad guys in a steampunk setting sounds exciting to you consider picking up the Game of the Year edition of Dishonored for your Xbox 360, PS3, or PC for just $29.99 on Amazon, which is all all-time low price for this edition.

We gave this one 4.5 stars in our Dishonored review and said, in true pull-quote style, "Dishonored is a game that you don't want to miss." In addition to the main game, the GOTY edition includes Dunwall City Trials, The Knife of Dunwall, The Brigmore Witches and Void Walker's Arsenal so it would be dishonorable to not pick it up (sorry, we couldn't resist).

Max Payne 3

Speaking of superlative pull-quotes, in our five-star Max Payne 3 review we wrote, "Max Payne 3 has raised the bar for other action games to follow." Hard to beat that!

Well, if you overlooked the third installment in this hard-boiled action series now looks to be the best time to correct your mistake. That's because Amazon is offering the game on PS3 or Xbox 360 for just $9.99. Not only is that the lowest price ever for this game on Amazon but it's also $1 less than it would cost you to buy a digital download of that dreadful Max Payne movie starring Mark Wahlberg, which really puts this one in perspective.

Saints Row IV

Here's one for our UK readers: the aptly-named British retailer Game is offering PS3 and Xbox 360 copies of Saints Row IV for just £17.49 each

Experience an accurate depiction of life on this side of the pond as you step into the shoes of the President of the United States in this zany open-world game that pulled down four stars in our Saints Row IV review.

Classic Controller Ornaments

If you're the Christmas type, it's almost time to get that Christmas tree up. Which means now's the time to start thinking about which gaudy knick-knacks to dangle from its branches. Well, consider this: a set of four ornaments done up like classic video game controllers. You get one that looks like an Atari 2600 joystick, one that resembles an NES gamepad, one that could pass for a 3-button Sega Genesis controller, and one that mimics an original PlayStation controller — all for just $19.99. We feel festive just thinking about it.

It's also worth noting that Best Buy will price match the Target offer, and they're offering 1250 reward points to any My Best Buy Gamer's Club member that buys 3 PS4 games. Those 1250 points are good for $25 gift certificate. That's quite a deal!

Target's buy two get one free is NOT just online. It is in stores as well as it was advertised in todays Sunday paper.

That's good news! The fine print on Target.com says it's online only but I guess we should all be ready to hassle those clerks IRL, ha.
