Darksiders shards and artifacts guide

Choking Grounds

Lifestone shards (2x)

The Lifestone shards here are tricky. One is acquired after smashing all eight of the cross tombstones in the cemetery. For expediency, the video shows only the final one and the location of the chest. The second is stashed in the small building near the gate, and requires both the Crossblade and the Tremor Gauntlet.

Wrath shard

Artifact: Soldier (2x)

Artifact: Champion

Requires: Tremor Gauntlet

On the way to The Broken Stair, there's a spot where you have to Shadowglide across a short chasm. Look down and to the left for the blue crystals. Smash them with the Tremor Gauntlet and collect your Champion artifact.

Although it is always good to be proud of the achievements that we make on any game I wouldn't necessarily point out my gamer score unless asked being that when yot give out information like that it only shows that 1. You have no life 2. In all reality all yous trying to do is get attention Now with that said by now your probably thinking to yourself that I have no blue what I am talking about well in fact I do. I'm actually a 31 yr female whos only been playing the xbox 360 ( Mind you never have and never will play x box live) and I myself have a gamer score of a little over 7000 now you may not think that that's a lot but you know what I'm proud of my score but you don't see me on here trying to challenge people either in fact I know 2 people personally that have a higher gamer score then what posted and view both have jobs and just started playing xbox a year or so agoTherealreaper BTW, 4 any of you who think gamerscore is the b end-all for the 360 or Windows live and want abi competition, my gamerscore is 30625, sorry abo but i looove 2 brag about it, oh and i don't even xbox live yet so... yeah

hello there gamers and the Games Radar team, Realreaper1 here, Long time gamer, first time comment writer, i was wondering if u guys could make this guide in a word document or notepad or something, i mean don't get me wrong here these video's r very helpful, but only when i'm on the net, so i was wondering if u could get me a written guide so that i can use the guide when i'm not off the net, other than that u guys r doing a teriffic job here so keep up the great work. BTW, 4 any of you who think gamerscore is the be-all end-all for the 360 or Windows live and want abit of competition, my gamerscore is 30625, sorry about this but i looove 2 brag about it, oh and i don't even have xbox live yet so... yeah

this response is for gammingmommy. u cant get throught that wall untill u get the mask. it helps u see hidden objects. once u get it, u will climb up that ledge and go down the path to ur left. u will then use the mask and u will see one of those exploding balls on the wall. u will then use ur grapple hood to snatch it down. then u use the ball on the red crystal wall.

im having a lil trouble in the cross roads trying to get the last chest on the map. it appears on the map right across from vulgrum where the building has crumbled behind the pillars. i have the mask and i got the one that is on top that u have to swing to. cant find this one though

I need the wrath shard in the dry road worm hole. problem is it keeps coming up UNEXPLORED. How do I get in the worm hole?

p.s. you can indeed go back to Eden. After you forge the Armegeddon Blade, the game tell you to go back to Azrael in the Ashlands. Don't talk to him instead you can take the orange portal back to eden.

RIDErepublic is correct that was the last one i was looking for myself, if the writer can edit the guide it will help alot of people. thanks though gamesradar for yet another awesome guide.
  • gamingmommy - January 22, 2010 3:18 a.m.

Ok so I'm hoping someone can tell me A: what is behind this wall and B: what do I need to get it. If you take the Vulgrim portal to Ashlands and then enter the desert area, stick to the left wall and you will come across a place where you can get up. So far I have everything up to the abyssal chain and I haven't been able to find any walkthrough or list with this place on it. I can't be the only person who's found it.

You guys missed one from your guide - I spent hours scouring the map, but finally resorted to the internet. Luckily somebody from another forum was having the same difficulty and came across a real pain of a wrath shard thats hiding very well between the Ashlands and the Dry Road: "This seems to be one that most people miss so here are the instructions to find it. 1. Take the Serpent Hole to The Ashlands and take a right out the small cave you are transported to. 2. Continue until you reach the area with the 3 monsters hanging from the ceiling with the wire that you can jump to in the middle 3. Jump on the wire to the left, grab the growth and pull yourself up into the opening 4. Once in the opening, look to the right and up and you should see an orange thing you can use to grab with the chain. 5. TADA! Hopefully this is also the shard you were missing because I know what a pain in the ass it is searching endlessly for hours." Hope this helps!

You can go back to Eden, there's a portal in the Ashlands at the far end. Equip the Mask of Shadows, and there's an updraft and a bridge there to take you back to the portal.

rock on nice guide guys just got the last artifact and life shard this really helped keep up the good work. oh and some people did buy this game and while most of the collectibles are fairly easy the overlord artifact and the black throne items were much trickier, so for everyone who does have this game it is extremely helpful
  • forza - January 17, 2010 4:32 a.m.

I have 19 wrath cores missing one. I went back to every area in this guide, I have multiple save files, even Eden and the Black Throne. To see if I missed anyone. Funny thing is I remember going to all 20 locations. But still short one and yes I purchased the wrath core from Vulgrim for 2500 souls. Also picked up both wrath cores in the serpent holes. I even played the game on hard first so I wouldn't have to play it again. Looks like I will just so I can try to follow this guide on my second play thru on easy to get all 20 wrath shards lol.
  • WrathLord03 - January 16, 2010 5:45 a.m.

thats right everyone, i'm still reading it. Well, some people bought this game and are not smart enough (or patient enough) to find all the artifacts. therefore, the nice people at GR decide to help us because that's what they get paid for. ReCAPTCHA: Friends Boiling. I sure as hell hope not...
  • Sebastian16 - January 16, 2010 5:05 a.m.

Why are you putting out so many articles on this game? It wasn't even a big release, or special in any sort of way.
  • WrathLord03 - January 16, 2010 4:25 a.m.

oh, u guys missed one. u can get a lifestone shard from the serpent hole leading to the twilight cathedral. go all the way to the end and then use the mask of shadows to reveal a shadow vent. use it and go all the way to the end of the path that appears before gliding across another shadow vent and reaching the chest. i took the serpent hole from the broken stair to the cathedral in case it can't be gotten from any location
