Danny Boyle wins the DGA Award

Slumdog helmer grabs another win

In what might be seen as yet another pointer to Danny Boyle’s chances at an Oscar, the Slumdog Millionaire scooped the top prize at the Director’s Guild Of America awards this weekend.

Beating out the likes of David Fincher, Christopher Nolan, Gus Van Sant and Ron Howard, Boyle was presented with his trophy by last year’s winners, the Coen brothers.

"If I can get here, you can get here," Boyle told the crowd. "Dream hard."*
