The I-Rex is out for blood in new Jurassic World trailer: watch now

Universal has dropped the second full-length trailer for this summer’s blockbuster sequel Jurassic World and if you weren’t already gasping to see its fearsome new creation, the D-Rex, you probably will be after this.

This time around another assembly of scientists, led by Bryce Dallas Howard’s park manager Claire Dearing, do what Dr. Ian Malcolm cautioned John Hammond against 22 years ago. They create bigger, faster beasties who inevitably break out of their cages and run rampant across Isla Nublar.

Feast your eyes on the newest preview below:

The star attraction here - and in the park itself - is of course, Masrani’s genetically-engineered creature. There’s a ton of new flashes at the dino, that’s described here as designed to be “bigger than a T-Rex.” Yikes.

As things take a disastrous turn, the chaos somewhat echoes parts of the first movie (two kids trapped in a vehicle, a knowledgeable raptor expert mouths off) as the entire park becomes a first-rate buffet for the beasts it’s supposedly housing. If the animals keep on at this rate, there won’t be any guests left to visit...

Directed by Colin Trevorrow and co-starring Chris Pratt, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, BD Wong, and Judy Greer, Jurassic World opens in the UK on June 11 and the US on June 12.
